Punkin' Chunkin' Festival

Saturday, October 20th
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Bald Eagle State Park, Pavilion 4, Howard

Join Congressman GT at the Punkin' Chunkin' Festival, founded in 2011 for a variety of family-friendly events, food, shopping and, of course, punkin chunkin. The chunkin' machines draw "ooos" and "ahhs" as pumpkins fly out over Sayers Lake at Bald Eagle State Park. The event is a fundraiser for the Howard Fire Company and happens annually in October.  It is advised to get to the event early because of its popularity and traffic considerations.

Also includes:

  • Live bands
  • Food and craft vendors
  • Hayrides
  • Pie Eating Contest
  • Fire Apparatus Display
  • Activities with the Park Naturalist
  • Chunkin' machines hurling punkins at floating targets in the lake
